General Dynamics SAVANNAH, GA – The General Dynamics Aviation Services facility at Barnes Municipal Airport in Westfield, MA, was recently awarded an Aruba Department of Civil Aviation "Certificate of Acceptance" as an authorized Aruban repair station. The Aruban certification expands the capabilities of General Dynamics Aviation Services-Westfield to serve international customers. The facility is already authorized for maintenance purposes by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and the Bermuda Department of Civil Aviation (BDCA).
The authorization enables the Westfield facility to perform maintenance and alterations on Aruban-registered aircraft. General Dynamics Aviation Services-Westfield is authorized by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to service Gulfstream large-cabin aircraft — the GII through the G550 — and Gulfstream mid-cabin models — the G100, G150, and G200. The Westfield repair station also holds FAA ratings for the Hawker Beechcraft 125 series, 1000 and 4000; Dassault Falcon 10, 50/50EX, 900/900EX and 2000/2000EX; and Bombardier Challenger 600, 601 and 604.
