The Flight Safety Assesment Center (FSAC), a subsidiary of the Civil
Aviation Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan, has contracted on
October 1, 2009, the services of the Registry of Aruba-International
Air Safety Office to assist the CAC with safety oversight functions,
Conduct audits on Kazakh operators, and inspections on western and/or
Non-CIS built aircraft engaged on international flights.
IASO has deployed on October 5, 2009, a team of 4 ex-NAA (UK CAA) inspectors
Ops and Airworthiness to commence the re-certification program of AOC
Holders, and physical inspection of aircrafts. The inspectors will be
under the sole control of the CAC/FSAC and will be stationed in Almaty, Kazakhstan, for a period of one year.
