COVID-19

At The Registry of Aruba, the health, well-being, and safety of our customers, associates, inspectors, staff, and communities is our top priority. With that said, note that for the time being, our Aruba and Miami office will be operating regular business hours, while working at home.

 

Due to the uncertainty surrounding the novel coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19), that is now affecting all of us; we would like to assure you that the DCA of Aruba and The Registry of Aruba are committed to being responsive to the needs of our clients, throughout this ever-evolving situation.

 

We are taking all the necessary measures to mitigate the impact that COVID-19 is having over all of us, thus rest assured that we are here for you and will make every effort to support your ongoing operations as per our usually 24/7 policy.

 

Here you will find the DCA of Aruba's official communication informing you of how the DCA shall be proceeding with operations for the foreseeable future.
  
The procedures in place, are a desk-top audit is to be performed for the C of A renewal of aircraft; operators are requested to prepare with sufficient time in advance, the aircraft records that should be submitted in digital format at a minimum of one week prior to the expiration date of their current C of A.
 
Upon DCA review of the aircraft records, a Certified True Copy (CTC) of the Certificate of Airworthiness for the aircraft will be issued for a period of 90 days and the physical inspection will be on hold until it can be rescheduled at a later date.
 
It is important to stress that Aruba is currently operating under a state of emergency and has shut down its border for any non-resident of Aruba, and the government has placed a travel ban on its employees. With that said, no DCA inspector will be traveling out of Aruba until the effects of COVID-19 are controlled to the government's satisfaction. 
 
In addition, note that the dates on the circular are flexible dates that will be mostly determined by the current status of the situation and are subject to change. For now, please proceed as per the new COVID-19 regulations, until there has been a change in the situation and the travel ban has been removed.
